LAHORE: University of the Punjab (PU) reopened after remaining closed for four days due to clashes that occurred between two student groups.
PU’s vice chancellor was scheduled to meet all the faculties heads of departments, according to sources.

A university representative said that ‘political activities inside the premises of the university are banned’ and that the police authorities would remain on duty on campus until the resolution of the matter.
Punjab’s law minister Rana Sanaullah levelled charges of the incident against the IslamiJamiatTulba (IJT) and stated that 18 out of the arrested 22 were connected to the IJT.
Meanwhile, the IJT claims that the rival group initiated the conflict.
Punjab’s Chief Minister has also asked the authorities to submit a report regarding the matter and resolve it at the earliest saying that nobody is above the law.
