KURRAM AGENCY: Protest at Parachinar by residents ended after successful negotiations between protesters and the political administration.
Parachinar residents protested against the deadly bombings of the previous day which resulted in several casualties. Protestors protested with the bodies of the martyrs at Shaheed Park demanding immediate action against those accused of the massacre.
The blast that left 24 dead and 90 injured was protested against by the members of the Majlis-e-Huddat Muslimeen in Multan, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Muzaffarabad.
Tribal elders, representatives of the political administration and religious scholars were all part of the negotiations along with members of the armed forces.
Allama Fida Mazhari, when addressing the protestors, said that the political administration had agreed to fulfill their demands.
The martyrs of the blast were moved to the central Imam Bargah where the last rites of the deceased are to be performed before burial in respective hometowns.
According to the agreement between tribal leaders and political administration, locals will be deployed at check posts and immediate action will be taken against the accused personnel of FC.
Moreover, security forces opened fire on the protestors injuring several of them.
According to locals, the injured could not be attended to properly due to lack of medical facilities at the Agency Headquarters Hospital, Parachinar. Despite the issue being raised after the Eidgah explosion in January, the hospital continues to lack basic health facilities
