Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa Friday confirmed death sentences awarded to 11 terrorists inv
olved in heinous offenses related to terrorism.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the terrorists were inv
olved in attacking armed forces/law enforcement agencies, destruction of an educational institution and killing of innocent civilians.
“The suspects were inv
olved in killing of 69 persons, including 49 civilians, 20 armed forces and police officials
and injuring 148 others,” the ISPR
said.
Arms and explosives were also seized from their possession.
Ain Ullah was member of a proscribed organisation. He abetted terrorist commander Jamshed by designing/preparing a vehicle borne improvised explosive device for attack at Suikarno Chowk, Khyber Bazar (Peshawar), which resulted in death of 48 persons
and injuries to 109 others. He was awarded death sentence.
Naik Wali was member of proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in attacking armed forces/law enforcement agencies which resulted in death of Lieutenant Umar Javed, Subedar Mohsin, Havildar Amir along with three s
oldiers
and injuries to 14 others. He was awarded death sentence.
Fazal Manan was member of a proscribed organisation. He abetted terrorist Shina Fiaz Ullah, a suicide bomber, to attack Saddar Police Station Kohat, which resulted in death of Constable Khurshid Ahmed, Constable Noor, Constable Fayaz ul Husnain
and injuries to five others. He was awarded death sentence.
Rehmat Zada was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in attacking armed forces/law enforcement agencies which resulted in death of Havildar Musaver Khan, Sepoy Sohail Iqbal, Constable Fazal Malik
and injuries to two others. He was also found in possession of fire-arms. He was awarded death sentence.
Zaid was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan, which resulted in the death of Havildar Muhammad Yar along with two s
oldiers. He was awarded death sentence.
Naimat Ullah was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan, which resulted in death of Sepoy Rafique
and injuries to Major Akmal Hayat along with nine s
oldiers. He was awarded death sentence.
Maseen Zada was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in the destruction of Rubicon College Gulibagh (Swat) as well as attacks on armed forces of Pakistan, which resulted in death of Sepoy Asif Mehmood
and injuries to Major Abdul Qayyum along with two s
oldiers. He was also found in possession of fire-arms and explosives. He was awarded death sentence.
Rehman was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in attacking law enforcement agencies which resulted in death of police constable Mushtaq Ahmed
and injuries to two other police officials along with a civilian. He was awarded death sentence.
Azmat Ullah was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan, which resulted in death of Sepoy Asal Jan
and injuries to another s
oldier. He was awarded death sentence.
Raqeem was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in attacking law enforcement agencies which resulted in death of police constable Manzoor Khan
and injuries to another official. He was awarded death sentence.
Ikram Khan was member of a proscribed organisation. He was inv
olved in causing death of civilian Abdul Rehman, a member of village defence committee. He was awarded death sentence.
