HYDERABAD/UMERKOT: Civil Society activists hold protests in Hyderabad and Umerkot for the safe recovery of human right activist and Convener of Voice of Missing Person (VMP) Sindh, Punhal Sario on Sunday. Sario went missing mysteriously on the evening of August 3 near Sindh Language Authority Hyderabad. Addressing the protest outside Hyderabad Press Club arranged by Voice for Missing Person of Sindh, VMP Deputy Convener, Sorath Lohar and others demanded the safe recovery of Sario. Large number of Sario’s supporters, his family, and civil society activists attended the protest. They announced to continue protest till his safe recovery. On other hand, in a joint statement, Prof. Mushtaq Mirani, Ali Palh Amar Sindhu, Arfana Mallah and others said that Punhal Sario was not involved in any illegal or anti state activity, he was just raising the voice against violation of human rights in province, if the conditions for activists will remain same the situation will be worst and out of handling, he is suffering from fatal diseases and he cannot survive without medicine. In Umerkot, the social activists hold protest demonstration and demanded immediate recovery of human rights defender Puhal Sario. Speaking at the protest, Gul Muneed Walhari, Ali Akbar Rahimoon, Juman Darbadar and Ghulam Mustafa Khoso said that Punhal Sario has been raising the voice for missing persons peacefully and was demanding all under Pakistan’s law. His abduction was not lawful and question over the state and is violation of right. Begging the rights for the people should not been treating the anti-sate slogan. They urged his instant release, whereabouts and production before courts.
