ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Monday barred government officials from making speeches at hospitals in Islamabad.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar hearing a case pertaining to facilities in medical centers stated that capital’s largest hospital Pakistan Institute of Management Sciences (PIMS) was without a chairman while the medical facilities seem to be totally out of question.
He added that a competent and corruption-free chairman was the need of the hour.
CJP stated that the general elections were due within months, so the matter of speeches will be dealt by the new elected government, which will be in compliance to the court’s directions.
He said that it had come to a point that the authorities failed to deliver work, and only deliver when the court interfered.
