KHYBER AGENCY: People from tribal areas took out a rally against the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital by the US President Donald Trump, at Bab-e-Khyber, Jamrud on Friday.
Scores of tribal elders along with political workers and member of civic society chanted slogans against America & Israel and in favour of Palestinians.
Addressing the protesters, Malik Salahuddin , Malik Ismael Koki Khel and Said Kabir said that the decision of American president to recognise Jerusalem as capital of Israel and shifting the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem hurt sentiments of millions of Muslims and urged Muslims countries to take immediate steps to pressure America to withdraw its decision.
“The recognition decision of President Donald Trump proves his enmity with Muslims across the world. The entire Muslim Ummah stands with Palestinians in this time of need.”
They further added that the announcement of the recognition was a well-planned conspiracy against Muslims and asked the entire Muslim world to be united against Zionist forces. They demanded the government to shut the US embassy in Islamabad and to ask the American ambassador to leave the country as soon as possible.
