GUJRANWALA: Activists of Tehreek-i-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah, Sunni Tehreek and other religious organisations continued their protest on the second consecutive day after the botched operation of the government against Faizabad protesters.
The protesters staged demonstrations in different parts of the Gujranwala division, including Ghakkar, Chan Da Qila, Ali Pur, Wazirabad and others. They blocked several roads by burning tyres, causing inconvenience to commuters.
Addressing the participants, religious scholars and clerics urged the government to set free arrested workers and reiterated their demand that the law minister should step down.
