LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan announced on Monday that his party will block Election Bill 2017 in the lower house.
Addressing the media, Imran also invited the other opposition parties to join hands to block the bill.
Election Bill 2017, passed by the Senate last month will enable disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to regain his position as the chairman of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).
“This bill will provide an opportunity to a criminal to become the head of a party,” Imran said.
Imran also reiterated his demand for fresh elections in the aftermath of Nawaz’s disqualification.
