LAHORE: Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) on Wednesday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh to lodge a protest over unprovoked firing by Indian troops along the Line of Control (Loc).
On Monday, Indian troops targeted Kakuta village in Chirikot Sector claiming the life of a woman. The incident happened few days after Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa along with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi visited the sector.
According to a statement issued by FO, The Foreign Office’s Director General for South Asia and Saarc, Dr Mohammad Faisal summoned the Indian diplomat and recorded protest over the incident.
He condemned the repeated ceasefire violations by Indian forces.
