ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi meets with foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Maldives.
Tariq Fatemi is in Uzbekistan to attend the 43rd Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) from 18th to 19th October 2016. On Tuesday, he held a bilateral meeting with the Uzbekistan foreign minister. The meeting was held in a cordial environment and wide ranging issues were discussed.
Both sides reiterated their desire to further enhance their brotherly relations especially in the field of economics and trade. He appreciated the arrangements of government of Uzbekistan to host the 43rd Session of OIC, Council of Foreign Ministers.
Separately, the Maldives foreign minister met SAPM on the sidelines of the meeting. The two ministers discussed the bilateral relations and agreed on the need to further strengthen the bilateral relations. The Maldives’s foreign minister thanked Pakistan for its support to Maldives during CMAG and at other multilateral forums.
