ISLAMABAD: Hills stations especially in northern parts of the country are witnessing a good number of tourists, who want to spend some fasting days at cool places instead of facing extreme heat waves inplain areas during the holy month of Ramazan.
To facilitate the tourists in the sacred month, the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is providing up to 50 percent discount on its hotels and motels.Hill stations including Naran, Kaghan, Kalam, Miandam, Murree, Ayubia are the preferred destinations for the nature lovers and heat-stricken people.” The 50 per cent discount on accommodation will be available on Ayubia and Naran Resorts, Balakot, Saidu Sharif, Kalam, Miandam, Chitral, Booni, Bamburet (Kalash Valley), Mastuj, Phandar, Gupis, Gilgit, Hunza, Sost (Pak-China border), Rama Lake, Skardu, Khaplu and Besham is being offered” said a PTDC official told APP.
In Ayubia, he said the normal rates of Economy Room single-bed is Rs 3,256 while the rate of double-bed room is Rs 3,808. “Now, these rooms will be available on 30 to 40 per cent discount,” he added.About the most visiting areas during the summer season , Naran he said, normal rates of the standard room is Rs 6,143, Cabana hut rate is Rs 7985, after the offers these will be available on 30-50% percent discounted rate. In Kalam the rooms will be available on 30% discount while normal rate of single-bed room is Rs 3,800 and hut Rs 5,000.In addition to that, Sehri and Iftar dinner is being offered during the holy Month. It is a wonderful opportunity for tourists to spend their holy monthof Ramadan at cool places on affordable rates.
General Manager PTDC Motels Ch Aziz-ud-Uddin Tahir said that PTDC willprovide all facilities to tourists at affordable rates while making all out efforts to promote tourism across the country. PTDC is currently operating 13 tourist InformationCenters all over the country to provide information,travel guide, brochures and maps to tourists forplanning their holidays.
