KARACHI – Former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain said that the cases against him were bogus and fabricated and he was just facing a media trial.
While talking to journalists here on Friday after appearing before a trial court, he claimed that the statements of witnesses were recorded before investigation was started against him, as, according to him, statements carry no specific date with them.
He refuted that he ever met with Faryal Talpur during his detention. He further said that he went to the UAE Embassy to sign a power of attorney authorizing his son to run a hospital in Dubai.
